The Monday Night Concert Series’ concert continues with the final Summer Jazz Concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The concert is free, and the public is warmly welcome.
Jeremy Kahn is one of Chicago's busiest pianists, playing in jazz clubs, theatre pits, and recording studios. He was a featured guest on NPR's "Piano Jazz," hosted by Marian McPartland, and he was a guest on the radio show of the late Studs Terkel.
Kahn combines his love of jazz with the theatre music that has been an important influence on his development as a musician.
Dennis Polkow of the Chicago Tribune wrote, “Kahn is …a rare and gifted pianist.”
The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
