musical noteThe Oak Park Arms Music Club (record spinning club) will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. Host Dan Kane will spin the oldies, and the public is invited to enjoy this evening of “Summer Songs.”

A resident of Oak Park, Kane is a genealogist and radio announcer. He graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA and is the founder and sole proprietor of Extended Family Ties. In addition to leading the monthly music club at the Arms, he is also the host of the “Polish Film Festival” and led last year’s popular film series, “You be the Critic.”

The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
