The Gift of Gab

empty stageThe Reader’s Theatre presents a rendition of “The Gift of Gab” at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 16, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave.

The Reader’s Theatre will perform a short story titled “The Gift of Gab,” originally written by American author Jack Vance and published in 1955.

This science fiction plot focuses on the nature of intelligence and is depicted through mineral prospectors on another planet, who start to examine their environment more closely when members of their crew begin to disappear.

The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
