spider saloffThe Summer Jazz Festival continues with nationally acclaimed vocalist Spider Saloff at 7 p.m. Monday, July 25, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. It is her original concert of lively music titled “Speakeasy: Songs from Prohibition.”

She will also interject her own special brand of humor with antidotes about the songs and the times.

Since the great success of her nationally syndicated radio series “Word & Music,” Saloff is known as one of the great interpreters of the American Songbook. She has been endorsed by both the estates and families of George and Ira Gershwin and Irving Berlin.

Saloff will perform with pianist Jeremy Kahn.
