Hospice is a philosophy and a way of caring for individuals living with serious illnesses who no longer benefit from curative treatments. When the time comes that a cure is no longer probable, hospice embraces the patient and family as they focus on comfort and the end of life.
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses, focused on providing patients relief from the symptoms, pain and stress. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.
