musical noteThe Oak Park Arms Music Club (record spinning club) will present autumn songs at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 408 S. Oak Park Ave.

Host Dan Kane will spin the oldies in celebration of the fall season with this month’s selection of songs titled “Autumn Leaves.” The public is invited to welcome in a new season in this free event.

A resident of Oak Park, Kane is a genealogist and radio announcer. He graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA and is the founder and sole proprietor of Extended Family Ties. In addition to leading the monthly music club at the Arms, he is also the host of the “Polish Film Festival” and led last year’s popular film series, “You be the Critic.”

The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
