This is a great place for senior living bc it's got a lot of what they'll need all in one spot, from haircutting to a podiatrist. And it seems very sociable and a vibrant place for senior citizens. Prices are better than most places.

What I like mostly about Oak Park Arms is the friendly environment & the members of the Peronnel Staff are always available to answer any questions we might have. Also, the Maintenance Crew is always available to correct anything that needs attention in our apartments! I highly recommend Oak Park Arms to anyonein need of a safe place for a Senior.Sincerely, Betty Jean Sinsley

My brother has been a resident at the Oak Park Arms for a few years. Will we are so grateful to the entire staff who assists Tom, we want to specifically single out Renee, who has been exceedingly helpful and kind in helping Tom to continue to live an independent lifestyle. The Arms is an amazing place for seniors!

My Mom has been attending the adult day program for about 6 months and she really enjoys it. The facility is very clean, the staff is very attentive, friendly and patient. She is crazy about Veronica, the staff person that runs the day program and she has nothing but good things to say about the director Danielle. I feel so comfortable leaving her there. We are considering using the facility for respite care when we travel.

I have had a good friend and favorite aunt as residents at Oak Park Arms - one in assisted living and one in independent living. First and foremost, the administrators and staff of OPA truly care about their residents, and from that true caring flow the many great services provided by OPA to their residents. I highly recommend OPA.

My mom has been here for nearly 4 years. I am so grateful to the wonderful people who work and manage the arms. It is super clean and the lobby area always feels positive. God bless everyone who serves the elderly!

Our family is so grateful for the care, attention and support during the past 5 years when our Aunt Marge was a resident of the Oak Park Arms. Our aunt suffered with Parkinson and was initially in a one bedroom with morning and evening private care givers who watched after her to insure she was safely managing 'independent living'. After several hospitalizations, our aunt was moved to a 2 bedroom apartment at the Arms with 24-hour private care. The management team worked with us every step of the way so that she had catheter nursing care, foot care, local travel services and meals prepared. Staff checked in on her regularly and she attended Sunday services on site. The Oak Park Arms provided very safe care for her.Thank you,Jodi Pacer and family.

I highly recommend The Oak Park Arms. It is a beautiful, clean retirement community with a lot to offer in terms of activities. The facilities in this historic building are inviting and comfortable. It is located in a great area as well. My brother lives there, and our family is very grateful for the staff, especially how they have maneuvered Covid 19 and work to keep residents safe and healthy.
My mother has been a resident of Oak Park Arms since about 2009. My decision to move her into a “senior facility” was at the onset of her dementia diagnosis. My thoughts at that time were, if her dementia progressed Oak Park Arms would be a place where she could receive the next level of care. That decision has turned out be one of the best decisions I could make for my mother. Since, 2009 until the present time, my mother transitioned very well to all the activities and it was a great pleasure to hear her talk about the social enjoyment she had after every activity. My mother enjoyed going to “Sit And Fit, educational classes about history, “Senior Prom” and playing Bingo, so much that she at some point decided to conduct the Bingo games every Sunday. For the last ten years, the senior social culture at Oak Park Arms, helped hold off the inevitable of her dementia diagnosis.Recently, as a result of COVID-19, and the safety of “shelter in place” for senior facilities her dementia has progressed, along with other illnesses that senior adults contract, not related to Covid-19. While it feels as though I have been blindslided, by the current events, I can once again say, that Oak Park Arms has been the best decision I have ever made.During the past two months, my customer service experience with each member of your staff has been difficult due my mother’s condition, however, a pleasant encouraging experience with each staff encounter. I won’t name names, because I would hate to forget any of them, however, from the Home Care Staff, the beautiful cleaning lady,, front desk staff, your office staff, each director, both the kitchen/restaurant director and those who bring my mother her breakfast and lunch, great understanding and attitude when asked to deliver her food to her table, because of walking difficulties, we have both always been met with a pleasant attitude, great suggestions, and collaborative attitude when talking about services for my mother.I write this testimonial because I believe that employees, while they get paid to perform a job, recognizing and encouraging employees always results in greater engagement on behalf of the employee. Employee engagement is when an employee feels valued for their contribution and in return will leverage discretionary efforts for their organization, leaders and customers.I also believe, while we are often quick to write a complaint, we should be just as quick to write words of recognition, when we receive exemplary service. While I am still trying to figure out what is the best level of care for my mother, I am confident that she is the best place to make that happen.

I cannot say enough good things about my mom's experience at the Oak Park Arms. The management and staff from top to bottom treat her like an old friend or even family. Everyone says hello and makes mom feel welcomed, appreciated and cared about. Because they all do genuinely care. And as a son making the decision to place mom in an assisted living facility, their compassion brought me great comfort as well.

The management team at The Oak Park Arms couldn’t be friendlier, more helpful and more welcoming to residents and visitors. There are so many events and activities, there are plenty of options for all interests. This is a caring environment for residents, new and long-term neighbors with comfortable accommodations and public areas.

I have been an independent caregiver for more than 15 years , and have worked wirh a lady named Dororhy Barber who lived here for almost 9 years. I've seen the dedication of all the staff here and their compassion with their residents and what thwy do. There is no pwrfect condition anywhere we go, but the activities and entertainment are the best so far as i have worked with other people in other facilities. My boss died 3 years ago, and i miss the happy years we spent with the residents and staff of Oakpark Arms.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I couldn't think of a better way to share our appreciation for the staff at The Oak Park Arms. My parents moved in less than a year ago and from the first meeting, were shown the greatest care to ensure that "The Arms" would be a great home for them. Unfortunately, my Dad's health declined rapidly and again, the staff provided support and compassion during the most difficult days. I am comforted to know that my Mom is supported by people such as Marzena, Desi, Levert and the team!

I've been working with Oak Park Arms for over a year, offering occasional respite care for my mother. They have always been kind and courteous, and really understand my mother's needs. They offer many activities, short trips, and events all in what had once been a luxury hotel. Great atmosphere, and great energy from the staff we've worked with. This is my go-to place, and they've been a lifesaver every time.
