Fraud is big business in America, taking in about $100 billion a year. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office will present a program titled, “Scams Targeted Towards Seniors and Persons with Disabilities,” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 2. John Steiner’s Steinway grand piano has been donated to the Oak Park Arms Senior Living by resident Betsy Davis. Steiner was the world’s foremost authority on early Chicago jazz. He built an exceptional personal collection of approximately 35,000 recordings, sheet music, and newspaper articles. Today, his collection is housed in the Chicago Jazz Archive of the University of Chicago Library.
