Oak Park River Forest High School’s Noteworthy Show Choir returns to Oak Park Arms for 15th anniversary performance – Dec. 5

Noteworthy, the award-winning show choir from Oak Park River Forest High School (OPRFHS), will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Oak Park Arms Senior Living, 408 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park. The free event is open to the public.
Now celebrating its 15th year, the ensemble features 38 students who will present their main set, a performance incorporating polished vocals and dynamic choreography, plus a special holiday number. The performance will feature approximately eight high-energy songs.
Noteworthy is under the direction of Director/Choreographer Meghan Figel and Music/Band Director Joe Dennis.
“Noteworthy brings an infectious energy to every performance, filling the room with excitement and joy,” said Meghan Figel, director and choreographer. “The most rewarding part of watching the students perform for the seniors at the Oak Park Arms is seeing the genuine connection that forms between the generations. It is truly touching to witness today’s students bring enthusiasm for uplifting the community.”
The current academic year is already a momentous one for the ensemble; the group is preparing for a spring trip to Nashville where they will perform.
“We look forward to the Noteworthy performance every year,” said Renee Steingard, director of leasing and resident engagement at the Oak Park Arms. “It’s a wonderful tradition that truly brightens the season and is enjoyed by all our residents.”
Oak Park Arms Senior Living is a rental retirement community that provides senior housing in the form of independent living.
